Our lives are sometimes compared to a leaf floating on water. Whether is a river or an Ocean, it gives you that feeling of uncertainty. Where will it take us? Where will we end up?
Nothing is scarier than being at see on a dark night especially if your guiding tools seem out of order. Suddenly a light house appears in the distance; A glimmer of hope.
What a feeling when that shinning light points out the shore and tells you that you are near. Furthermore, it helps the navigator avoid the rocks and navigate safely to shore.
Either way, whether is the sign of land or a warning for rocks, it is a welcome sign to any sailor on a vessel. I compare many times Jesus Christ to a lighthouse. Without his guiding light we will be lost forever. But following the ray of light it gives us peace and the assurance that we are safe with Him.
